Thinking of coming to Decompression?

Hold on a second, and have a read of this first.

Decompression is built upon the same principles as Burning Man and Nowhere;
principles of participation, self reliance and leave no trace.
Decompression isn't a party put on by promoters to make a profit.
Decompression is put on by individuals like YOU, who come together every
year to create the greatest celebration that London has seen.

There is no shadowy "someone else" that's going to make this party the
craziest, most unbelievable bash ever for you. This is not the kind of
event where, by buying a ticket, you are paying someone else to provide you
with entertainment. This is the kind of event where there are NO SPECTATORS,
where every single person in the venue should be an active part of the experience.

For Decompression to be Decompression, we need every single person that comes
through the door to make an effort to participate in the event.

We always need volunteers to run certain aspects of the event, but more
than that, we need people to come up with new ideas for stuff that should
be happening on the night. Ever wanted to run a kissing booth? Maybe you've
been itching to get your puppet show installed in a toilet cubicle? Got
some face painting skills? Fancy being a roving chocolate girl?

Whatever you've got bubbling in your head, create it and make it happen.
We can support you in doing this: we have some infrastructure, we have
volunteers, and we have some art grants. But what we need is you, your
ideas and YOUR PARTICIPATION.
