IRON GARDEN

This project will reflect an artistic language with the power to lead us to a purer contemplation of our surrounding urban reality in the middle of nature. It will not be just a visual experience: it will invite us to reflect about consumerism, the state of our planet, the environment and it will encourage us to focus on art from a different point of view: recycling and contradictions.

Therefore I am presenting this proposal to Nowhere, inviting us all to re-discover the beauty of apparently trivial and ordinary objects, such as rusty iron, tubes of copper pipes or various discarded metal parts, placed in an environment completely natural with items that result from technology, and what we take from the Earth itself.

This garden, larger than life, will overtake us in the middle of the barren desert. We will feel like an insect in the middle of a forest of oversized flowers, as in the city we are simply ants in a forest of skyscrapers.

Marta Sorriano
I believe that to a large extent you are what you do. And if you dedicate yourself to your work with lots of energy, enthusiasm and effort you end up growing to the same extent.

I have always felt great admiration and respect for the many fascinating kinds of urban waste. I think we need to give back to the earth what it has lent us, and in the best condition possible for those who come after.

Contemporary Art no longer exists. It is a wandering blind man lost in a place full of past-present and history. Like man it has chosen the path of Time. For this reason we need a new way out towards a NEW ART“.

“Tell them and they will forget,
Show them, and they will remember,
Involve them, and they´ll understand”
